About AmealPeptide® – the active ingredient in ameal bp®

AmealPeptide®, the naturally-derived, active ingredient in ameal bp®, is a combination of the two tripeptides Valyl-Prolyl-Proline and Isoleucyl-Prolyl-Proline derived from the milk protein casein. These peptides are ACE inhibitors and block the production of angiotensin II, which causes blood vessel constriction and elevated blood pressure.

Why tripeptides work

In order for a peptide to be absorbed into the gastrointestinal tract, it must contain three amino acids or less. If a peptide has more than three amino acids, it is very poorly absorbed. Studies have shown that AmealPeptide®, with 2 tripeptides, is able to block ACE reactions and help maintain healthy blood pressure.*
